Dr. Michael Barbour was born in Rhodesia before moving at a young age to Kwa-Zulu Natal After graduating from Michaelhouse in the Natal Midlands he attended Palmer College of Chiropractic in the U.S.A, which is considered by many as the finest Chiropractic College in the world.
Having graduated from Palmer College in 2006, Dr. Michael Barbour decided to move back to South Africa where he began practicing for the next 7 years at a sports injury-related clinic. This experience enabled him to work on many elite athletes, as well as everyday individuals and families.
Dr. Michael Barbours passion for understanding the human body stems from his high school and university days, where he was involved in sports at a very high level. Through the injuries he picked up, he started to learn about the wonders of the human body and how it responds to certain treatments. Both Chiropractic and Physiotherapy played an integral role in keeping his sports career on track for as long as possible. Dr. Michael Barbour’s passion lies with educating his patients on the importance of the spinal column and nervous system. However working on those alone is not enough to be healthy and stay pain-free.
